Cash Collection: Intuit Makes GoPayment compatible With Traditional Cash Collection Software
- Financial management solutions specialist Intuit expends its range of services through adding features to its mobile card acceptance system.
- The free solution called GoPayment relies on a mobile app and associated mag-stripe card reader which connects through the Smartphone’s audio jack.
- Intuit launches a new version of its POS management and payment acceptance software, QuickBooks Point of Sale 2013. According to Intuit, synchronising GoPayment with this programme would provide merchants with a complete management tool encompassing the entire customer process.

- Intuit mainly targets the eight million small businesses in its portfolio. The day before this announcement, Square made a statement referring to its results and claiming that 20,000 small retailers had already opted for its solutions.
- Other potential competitors also getting involved in the mobile acceptance market include PayPal, with PayPal Here launched in March or the daily deals specialist Groupon, now proposing its own payment solution for merchants: an iPod Touch linked with a card reader.
