FACTS
- Merchants may now accept all means of payment anywhere in the world based on a new service designed by the European specialist in payments and transactional services, Worldline.
- Goals: This solution called WL One Commerce Hub allows merchants to customise and improve their customer experience whichever tools and digital channels they use, and regardless of their country, too.
- How it works: This tool relies on tokenisation technologies to instantly and securely centralise the data processed by these merchants, making it accessible through a single interface, regardless of the point of interaction and country.
- Offers: WL One Commerce helps its users to expand their business in new markets and features attractive transaction costs. Just as well, merchants may choose to apply new concepts such as pop-up stores or self-checkout counters. And they could boost additional services including Try Before You Buy options.
CHALLENGES
- As the e-commerce market keeps expanding, wallets become increasingly popular and more payment methods are seeing the day. Several industry players have already crafted their own payment systems but few already feature solutions to include all options.
- Worldline highlights an all-inclusive approach to payment solution for merchants, which matches BtoB-related expectations and requirements. WL One Commerce hub is scalable and meant to assist merchants through building an omnichannel payment strategy.
MARKET PERSPECTIVE
- A few months ago, this subsidiary of Atos bought out Six’s payment services division for €2.3Bn. This transaction allowed them to strengthen their position as a partner for merchants, especially in Europe. Six Payment Services derives 81% of their turnover from merchants-oriented services in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Luxembourg.
- Just like Worldline, several other industry players came up with services to centralise and connect innovative means of payment: Limonetik, Processout and Stripe, to name a few. The French group intends to stand out via featuring additional services, accessible through a new far-reaching interface.
