Malakoff Humanis reinvents health prevention with Mon Bilan Cardio
The social protection specialist Malakoff Humanis is pursuing its ambitions to support its policyholders, focusing on preventive health care to reduce risks. Its new offer, named Mon Bilan Cardio, relies on personalisation to encourage the prevention of cardiovascular risks, by also associating a teleconsultation player and a network of pharmacists. A global response for a more accurate customer journey.
FACTS
-
Malakoff Humanis presents a new prevention system to fight against cardiovascular diseases.
-
The aim of Mon Bilan Cardio is to detect risks upstream for each Malakoff Humanis policyholder by analysing their risk factors (eating habits, whether or not they take part in physical activity, sleep quality, stress level, sedentary lifestyle, BMI, alcohol consumption or smoking).
-
In terms of form, Mon Bilan Cardio is based on a three-stage system for analysing the situation of insured persons:
-
a risk assessment carried out online from a secure space created by the insured,
-
a preventive interview including measurements taken by a health professional (pharmacist or doctor by teleconsultation) aimed at deepening the initial assessment, informing and raising the awareness of the policyholder about their risk factors,
-
a personalised feedback of the results.
-
-
In the event of a proven risk, Malakoff Humanis refers its policyholders to their GP for more specific follow-up.
-
The system is currently being launched in a pilot phase but should eventually be offered to all group policyholders every two years.
CHALLENGES
-
Combine the power of digital with the human network and establish itself as a health companion for its policyholders. The insurer is defending a personalised pathway thanks to algorithms that enable precise risk assessment. The originality of this initiative is also to associate a physical network (that of the independent pharmacists' group Giphar) with a teleconsultation network (managed by the start-up Livi). Preventive health care is therefore initially provided through a data analysis managed by the policyholder himself; it then enters the pharmacies, before concluding with a teleconsultation and then a consultation with the attending physician. This global approach makes it possible to coordinate the various prevention players.
-
Tackling a major risk factor: responsible for 140,000 deaths per year (according to figures from the French Federation of Cardiology), cardiovascular disease is now the second leading cause of death in France after cancer, and the leading cause of death among women.
MARKET PERSPECTIVE
-
Malakoff Humanis' initiative is presented by the group as a direct response to the government's ambitions, which are now focused on health prevention. The Ministry of Solidarity and Health was divided into two separate ministries last May: the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Ministry of Solidarity, Autonomy and the Disabled.
-
The launch of its new prevention offer is also part of Malakoff Humanis' strategy to offer innovative solutions to improve social protection. The group was even counting on a Social Lab in March 2021 to meet this objective.
