- Poland has been pioneering in the biometric-based banking authentication market, as the bank turned to Hitachi in 2010 (for ATM security and social allowances), see May 2010 Insight.
- Hitachi sensors have also been selected by the Turkish commercial bank &;304;&;351; Bank in the beginning of 2012 (see February 2012 Insight): nearly 2,400 biometric ATMs and about 1,000 sensors have been installed. These contracts also highlight the manufacturer’s European and international ambitions.
