Debit Card: ZEturf Designs Gambling-Dedicated Cash Card

  • The Horserace betting specialist ZEturf launches ZEcash: a Cirrus MasterCard cash withdrawal card enabling its holders to take out their gains using one of the 1.4 million MasterCard ATMs worldwide just five minutes after having earned them (compared to several days usually).
  • Gamblers wishing to benefit from this new service have to apply through filling out a dedicated online form after opening a ZEturf account –the validation of which implies sending some documents (ID, proof of domicile). The card is sent by post mail to their home address within ten days.
  • The user may load his card using his ZEturf account once a day, within a 400 euros limit each week. ATM cash withdrawals have been limited to 1,700 per months. Each cash take out is charged 2 euros + 2% in the Euro zone and 3 euros + 3% otherwise. This card will cost them 35 euros and stays valid for three years.
  • Customers also have access to an online portal, designed to help them manage their card and credit transfers (account balance, spending limits, etc.).

  • The ZEcash card, first of its kind in Europe, is the result of a partnership between MasterCard and the Payment Institution Aqoba. With this solution, ZEturf takes one step further in the online horserace betting sector, currently overpowered in France by PMU. ZETURF France limited was granted its authorisation by the ARJEL end July 2010. In addition to ZEturf and the major player PMU, the list of authorised websites now includes LeTurf and BetClic (June 2010), GenyBet (July 2010), Unibet (October 2010), JOAonline and France Pari (September 2011).
  • All gains are typically credited to the gambler’s bank account within 24 hours. This card allows for farther access to these funds. Customers may choose to transfer the received amounts from their ZEturf portal to their bank account. Also, as the prepaid card and its holder’s bank account are not related, only the amounts credited to the card might be at risk of fraudulent transactions.
