Behaviosec Mamed "Best of Show" at Finovate 2012
- At the Finovate 2012 event, Behaviosec, the Swedish specialist in authentication and security solutions was awarded first prize for the best technological innovation with its biometric authentication system that functions without the need for additional media.
- Known as Behavio Mobile, the solution recognizes the user's habits when typing or swiping a PIN code and creates a behavioural profile of the user based on for example how the keys are pressed and at which angle or how rapidly the code is entered.
- This authentication technique is available on iOS smartphones, Android or Windows Phone. With each version, the similarity in user behaviour is verified when a code is entered and the user is only authorized access to secure services if the profile is recognized.

- This solution could be used in particular to ensure secure access to financial applications. Indeed, Behaviosec announced on Twitter that all Swiss banks are actually impressed by the quality of their solution.
- What is special about this technology is that it can be adapted to different types of ID code entry. This means that Behavio Mobile can adapt to a number of operating systems and offers the possibility to target a broad array of users in the financial service and mobile banking sectors.
