3V Launches 3V Visa Prepay in the Netherlands
- 3V Netherlands, Dutch franchise partner of the Irish PSP 3V Transaction Services, launches 3V Visa Prepay services on 3V’s mobile financial services platform.
- Dutch Visa debit card cardholders can now link their means of payment to their mobile phone and top-up through funds transfers or by cash. Among the proposed features, the app allows customers to check their balance and transaction history, send funds, use mobile PFM tools and even receive alerts.
- The account can be opened in participating retail outlets or online: the card can be ordered in the same way.
- In June 2011, 3V Transaction Services partnered with the Spanish company Disashop, prepaid digital contents retail distribution platform, to improve its EU presence. For this new launch, the player relies on the success of 3V’s O2 Money offered in association with Telefonica in Ireland. This announcement highlights its development ambitions.
- Discussions with Web-based players, such as PayPal, would also be in process to create customised and multi-channel solutions.
