ASK Launching New Contactless Ticket TickeTac
- The French manufacturer specialising in contactless technologies, ASK, introduces a new contactless paper ticket for payments and identification contexts. It is described as environmentally-friendly (recyclable materials), non-expensive and secure. This ticket follows to the company’s prior solution C.ticket, the world first contactless paper ticket.
- A precise “Touch” spot must be pressed for this solution to work; it is based on ASK’s uniquely crafted silver ink printed antenna and die chip process. This antenna has been designed to help prevent fraud.
- With these prepaid-based solutions ASK intends to enter several markets including payments, ticketing, events and, even, physical access control. Described as impossible to force, they could be used to improve access to several kinds of events.
- If customised, these tickets could also fit in the brand’s marketing strategy.
- ASK was founded in 1997; it is now present in over 50 countries and, to this day, holds some 57 international patents.
- The company has been partaking in the EU-based Calypso transportation standard council as well as in the very first delivery of contactless cards (Nice and Amiens). It also contributed to industrialise the Navigo card in Île-de-France.
