Maintenance: Odyssée Purchased by Solutions 30
- POS terminal maintainer Odyssée has been purchased by Solutions 30, listed on the stock market. Odyssée’s former shareholder, Global Technologies Services, went bankrupt. Odyssée counts 57 employees and achieved 5 million euros turnover in 2010. The takeover supposedly cost 200.000 euros.
- 80% of Odyssée’s activity consists in subcontracting on behalf of French manufacturers or acquirers. The 20% left of its activity consist in establishing direct relations with merchants. It is in charge of installing payment terminals (integration and configuration), remote technical assistance and maintenance or replacement of the equipment.
- Odyssée, just as Univers Monétique, Afone, or JDC, is one of the last independent maintainers. It now joins in a multi-sector group, which has been committed to diversification and internationalisation for several years. Solutions 30 has been created for in-house attendance and IT assistance for SMEs, but it also developed the same offers for large groups. It further expanded to the management of audiovisual parks, security equipment (access, alarms, detectors, etc.) and smart meters. Payment terminals are the last branch of their development, Odyssée is its second acquisition after MPS.
- On an international scale, this activity will benefit from Solutions 30’s Western European implantation: Benelux, Germany, Italy and Spain.
