- Cartes Bancaires has just been voted in the PCI-SSC Board of Advisors, the international organisation for card security standards. Until 2012, CB will be part of this Board together with Barclaycard, British Airways, Celio, Cisco, Citi, Disney, EPCl, First Data, Heartland Payment Systems, Ingenico, IATA (International Air Transport Association), JPMorgan Chase, McDonald's, PayPal, RSA, Tesco, TSYS, VeriFone, Wal-Mart and Woolworth's.
- Elections to PCI-SSC Board take place every two years.
- PCI-SSC comprises five payment schemes: Amex, Discover, JCB, MasterCard and Visa. Its mission is to define security standards and requirements for bank cards.
- Under renewed pressure to this end, PCI-SSC now makes all card stakeholders take part in its works: financial institutions as well as merchants, manufacturers, vendors and processors. More than 600 organisations bring in their expertise and contribute to the elaboration of security standards.
