Security of Banking Application: Vanguard Policy Manager(TM)
- Vanguard Integrity Professionals, independent provider of security software, has announced that one of the ten largest US bank recently selected Vanguard Policy Manager(TM) to secure its critical z/OS(R) banking and card applications. The bank intends to reduce the security risk by making sure appropriate measures are automatically implemented and limiting the access rights of employees and contractor to the z/OS systems. These restrictions will enable them to prevent potential unauthorised incursions in the application’s configuration parameters. Before installing Vanguard Policy Manager their team in charge of monitoring the security of these systems used to analyse and correct each access manually: these activities were particularly time-consuming.
