New Merchant360 NFC Device for Payment Terminals
- Merchant360 has announced the release of its NFC Stack for POS terminals. Retailers will then be able to process a wide range of services, including mobile payments.
- This new tool makes cash collection easier and allows merchants to integrate other upcoming solutions (m-payment and m-couponing, loyalty, ticketing, etc.). As soon as new applications or NFC formats are made available the device is remotely updated which provides for both the retailers and their consumers choices.
- According to the same press release, VeriFone is also interested in this new device and uses it for demo and proof-of-concept purposes.
- Devices crafted to federate a variety of services seem to grow more and more popular as shown by VeriFone’s launch of its PAYMEDIA Solutions. The all-in-one tool for small merchants includes different added value e-services: e-couponing, loyalty, social media or geolocation.
- The monthly subscription enables the merchants to avoid investing in heavy and/or expensive equipment. PAYMEDIA is based on VeriFone’s PAYware Connect gateway and proposes traditional services (payment authorisations for instance) through non-conventional means of payment (mobile phones for instance).
