Online Games: American Expansion of Mediastay
- France-based company Mediastay, in charge of free online games (Kingoloto, DiamondsQuest.com, Bananalotto, grattage.com) raised fifteen million euros to provide for its European and US development. In June 2008, it had already bought the American Luckysurf. These games are available through social networks, among them Facebook, from which it was certified, to provide advertising solutions to application vendors.
- Mediastay was founded in 2000 and counts seven million single visitors per months, or about 400,000 daily online games players.
- It exploits a database including 25 million Internet users in 14 countries and 200 e-mailing service providers. It also monetises e-mail databases to the benefit of announcers and targets and qualifies these mailing lists as well.
- Mid-2010, Mediastay launched Offermatch, a sponsored payment platform enabling the Internet user to have his purchase remunerated by an announcer.
- It is composed of 60 employees in Paris, Brussels and San Francisco, and achieved 17 million euros annual sales. Its main rival in “casual gaming” is Bordeaux-based ConcoursMania, which acquired jeux.com beginning 2011.
