Card related services: Banque Accord launches a new means of payment insurance offer
- Banque Accord widens its range of low cost bank cards (MasterCard Standard, Visa Classic, Visa Premier) and now adds in an insurance for means of payment, “Avantage Sécurité”, – which also applies to cards belonging to other networks– for 2 euros per month.
- The subscription to this offer, valid on an international scale, is optional. It covers means of payment loss or theft (up to 4,600 Euros per incident and per year), official documents (up to 350 Euros), keys (770 Euros), as well as cash withdrawals at ATMs and online purchases (up to 1,500 Euros per incident and 3,000 Euros per online purchases insurance year).
- In addition, the "Offre Duo" allows subscribers to make their spouses benefit from two-month free subscription. The Oney - Banque Accord group would like to recruit 500,000 current Auchan cardholders.
- With this insurance, which also applies to other means of payment, Banque Accord takes advantage of the decline of the banking packages as well as of the compulsory transparency on tariffs imposed to banks in order to increase its market share and convince new customers. First, Banque Accord customers who have several bank cards would rather subscribe to a single insurance covering all their means of payment. Second, with its “Offre Duo”, Banque Accord targets new prospects, their customers’ spouses.
