La Banque Postale extends its Scellius remote payment offering

Last week, La Banque Postale announced the extension of its Scellius range of remote payment solutions. In addition to payment by direct debit, bank card and pay by link, it now offers payment by initiating a bank transfer, for social landlords and tenants. The service is designed to simplify rental payments and make them more secure. An initiative with multiple benefits, for professionals and tenants alike.
FACTS
- As part of its Scellius offering, La Banque Postale is unveiling a remote payment solution based on "simplified" credit transfers.
- This is a professional offer that the bank is proposing to private players, associations, public companies, social landlords and so on.
- Val Touraine Habitat, a social landlord in the Centre-Val de Loire region, has already implemented the solution. In concrete terms, the landlord can carry out a transfer in a simplified manner:
- The tenant accesses the online payment area using a QR code. The QR code can be found in the tenant's welcome booklet, on posters in the building or in the agency. It will also be available on media such as reminder letters.
- It leads to a form in which the landlord's bank details are entered.
- The chosen amount is also added, and the tenant simply follows the remaining steps to make the payment.
- The solution also improves security for the company, as it limits the widespread distribution of its bank details.
CHALLENGES
- An additional solution in the Scellius offering: Up until now, La Banque Postale has offered three payment solutions as part of its remote collection offering:
- Scellius Net: Collection via a page on the professional's website with a SEPA direct debit option.
- Scellius SMS/E-mail: A link is sent to the customer by e-mail or SMS, and can be accompanied by a commercial message.
- Scellius Transaction: Transactions are carried out using the customer's credit card details, received by telephone or post.
- Responding to difficulties: The simplified transfer solves certain problems encountered by landlords in particular, such as errors when entering bank details. These details are now pre-filled, reducing the risk of error.
- Autonomous payment management: The system makes the tenant autonomous at the payment stage. This means they can pay their rent when it suits them best, without the need for a contact person or validation of the procedure by the social landlord.
MARKET PERSPECTIVE
- La Banque Postale once again demonstrates its commitment to professionals by offering a service tailored to the needs expressed by its customers.
- On the other hand, the bank continues to invest in its role as a company with a mission, offering responsible alternatives to companies wishing to make a greater commitment to CSR. Last April, for example, it launched a new range of savings products featuring green and social deposits.
