Borrower insurance: sanctioned banks, competition encouraged

DGCCRF imposed almost EUR 1 million in fines on several banks for failing to comply with the 10-day statutory deadline in applications for substitution of borrower insurance. These sanctions illustrate compliance and competition issues in a market historically dominated by insurer banks.
