E-payment: Hi-media Getting Started with “Deals”
- The online advertising and audience monetisation specialist Hi-media launches a purchasing website displaying promotions (free delivery, instant discounts or daily deals), cashback and other instant rewards: www.Discountissime.com. This platform will make it possible for its users to look for products and compare prices through accessing a base of 150 referenced e-merchants.
- The discounts acquired by members of the Club Discountissime are transferred to Hipay, Hi-media’s e-purse: customers will then decide whether they want to spend these amounts on purchases or feed them into their bank account.
- The business contributor’s commission is used to fuel the available cashback transferred to the customers. Hi-media charges 5 euros per year for each user account.
- Hi-media’s new solutions are betting on the “deals” market to propose an alternative to card payments relying on a prepaid-based e-payment model. The cumulated cashback will be stored in the Hipay wallet in addition to the amounts loaded by the user for online purchases (as with a PayPal account for instance).
- Hi-media’s Hipay was launched in 2009 and made the difference through proposing secondary accounts (for under-18 users) in addition to a main account. This service is free and does not imply any opening or reloading fees; funds transfers imply a 1% commission. This solution is also compatible with Allopass, subsidiary of Hi-media since 2006, which also proposes a solution to monetise digital contents.
