Free-Flow Tolling: Crédit Mutuel Deploying its Liber-t Pass

  • The Crédit Mutuel partners Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône, to propose a Liber-t pass. The driver places the device on his windshield to use dedicated accesses on all French highways as well as in some Vinci car parks.
  • Until 31st December 2011, users choosing to subscribe this service also benefit from a promotional offer (free contract management). Subscriptions are also possible online through the Crédit Mutuel platform. The pass is delivered within 72 hours. Monthly fees are set at 1.50 euro and only the months when the device is really are to be charged.
  • Locations naturally involving mobile payments (car park, highways, etc.) are taking into account the evolution of payment media. Crowded stop-off points need to find means to earn time and avoid traffic blockages (as is the case with free-flow tolling).
  • Liber-t devices are distributed by banks, and Crédit Mutuel took advantage of this opportunity, in line with its former partnerships with the RATP for example, to allow Navigo pass reloads at the CM-CIC ATM network.
  • This new distribution channel could also represent opportunities of development for highway companies are now trying to make profit out of this product.
