Card reader: Swedish bank SEB chooses DIGIPASS 920
- VASCO Data Security Inc. announces the adoption of its DIGIPASS 920 by the Scandinavian bank SEB. This USB connected-card reader is endowed with “What You See Is What You Sign” (WYSIWYS) functionality and is both meant for individual and business customers. It is especially designed for banks wanting to protect high value transactions requiring a high security level (corporate banks, Internet banking, e-commerce and e-government, for instance).
- SEB opted for VASCO strong authentication solutions several years ago and the DIGIPASS 260 was notably used to secure its online banking application access.
- This authentication principle undoubtedly provides a very high level of security and corresponds to cardholders' expectations in terms of online payment security, expressed through several surveys. In fact, they deem that their confidence in online transaction processes would be improved if they could use their card just as they do in proximity stores.
