The Bank of France enters into the capital of Austrian and Portuguese printers

For the first time in its history, the Bank of France supported its Austrian and Portuguese counterparts by capitalising on OeBS (Austria) and Valora (Portugal). Through this operation, the French institution intends to structure a European core capable of securing the sustainable production of species. At a time when payments tend to dematerialize and gradually outline the perspective of the digital euro, this operation crystallises a strong signal in favour of preserving the role of the cash in the economy.
