Government tightens tone on BNPL
The Council of Ministers was recently considering the issue of consumer credit. The Minister of Economy, Finance and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty presented a Consumer Credit Ordinance. The latter aims to strengthen the rules in force in France and to harmonise the different standards applicable within the European market. It concerns in particular the BNPL.
